Stage Information

Stage 5 - Falstone

Principal marshalling clubs: Hadrian MSC, Post Office MC, Border Ecosse MC.

Location: North of Falstone and 10 miles from Bellingham

Car parks: Car Park E is on forest roads accessing the mid part of the stage.

Factfile: Used in the year of the snow when the severity of the weather caused the abandonment of the stage for the later runners.

Not used since 1993, now with a much improved road surface - fast straights and bends interspersed with some tight corners.

Routes: Car park accessed via Falstone Village. From the north, via Saughtree, through Kielder village and follow road past Kielder dam to car park. From Chollerford via the B6320 through Wark to Bellingham and "C200" towards Kielder Village (Chollerford is 5 miles north of Hexham at the junction of the B6318 and B6320).

Warning: no parking on the C200 - police will be patrolling. Be patient - queues sometimes develop.
