Location: 4 miles north of Machynlleth, east of A487.

Car parks: Car Parks C to H, all on forest roads giving access to many mid- stage viewing areas.

Fact file: length of stage in 1995 - 14.62 miles. Fastest time 14 mins 13 secs (McRae).

A popular stage with drivers due to its wide sweeping corners and excellent road surface but with several difficult tight hairpins.

Routes: from the north, use A487 and turn left to Esgairgeiliog to car parks C and D. From the south, use A487 via Machynlleth, B4404 and unclassified road
north to car parks E and F. From the south east, use A489 from Newtown, A470, A489 for about 1 mile, B4404 and turn north on unclassified road to car parks E and F. From the east, approach via A458, then south on A470 to Aberangell and turn west on unclassified road to car parks G & H.
